The Chisinau City Hall is continuing to modernize and expand the municipal public transportation fleet, including to improve connections with the suburbs.
Mayor Ion Ceban announced that the tender for the purchase of 21 used, 18-meter-long articulated buses from Norway has been completed.
“With the delivery of this new batch of buses, we will be able to extend routes to the suburbs and increase the number of vehicles in service, which will help reduce wait times,” the mayor said.
The newly acquired buses are intended for use in Chișinău and its suburbs.
The cost of each bus, including transportation to the country, is 92,000 euros.
