Traffic will be suspended on Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, between Mitropolit G. Bănulescu–Bodoni Street and Sfatul Țării Street, in connection with the Festival of Ethnic Groups

The Chișinău City Hall announces that from September 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. – September 20, 2026, at 10:00 p.m., traffic will be suspended on Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, on the section between Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street and Sfatul Țării Street, including the intersections with Teatrală Street, Tricolorului Street, and Maria Cebotari Street, with traffic being rerouted to adjacent streets.

This measure was taken in connection with the organization and holding of the Festival of Ethnic Groups in Chișinău by the Agency for Interethnic Relations and the Chișinău City Hall.
During the aforementioned period, public transportation passing through the city center will be rerouted as follows:

TROLLEYBUSES:

• Routes 1, 5, and 8 will be rerouted as follows: outbound – from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd. onto Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni St., București St., A. Șciusev St., M. Viteazul St., Columna St., H. Coandă St., Dimitrie Cantemir Square, and then continuing along the established routes; return trip—from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard via A. Șciusev Street, București Street, Ciuflea Street, C. Negruzzi Boulevard, and then continuing along the established routes;
• Route No. 4 is modified as follows: outbound—along the established route; return—from V. Lupu Street to C. Stere Street, M. Kogălniceanu Street, S. Lazo Street, A. Mateevici Street, A. Pușkin Street, Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, and then continuing along the established route;
• The route for Route No. 22 is modified as follows: outbound – from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd. onto A. Șciusev St., București St., Dacia Blvd., and continuing along the established route; return – from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd. onto Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, București Street, A. Șciusev Street, M. Viteazul Street, Columna Street, H. Coandă Street, Dimitrie Cantemir Square, and then continuing along the established route;
• The route for Route No. 34 is modified as follows: outbound—from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard onto Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, București Street, A. Șciusev Street, M. Viteazul Street, Columna Street, H. Coandă Street, Dimitrie Cantemir Square, and then continuing along the established route; return trip—from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard along A. Șciusev Street, București Street, and Ciuflea Street.
 


BUSES • The route for Line 9 is modified as follows: outbound—from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd. onto A. Șciusev St., București St., Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni, M. Kogălniceanu Street, A. Pușkin Street, Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, and then continuing along the established route; return – from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard onto Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, București Street, A. Șciusev Street, M. Viteazul Street, Columna Street, and H. Coandă Street;
• The route for Route No. 11 is modified as follows: from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd. onto Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, București Street, A. Șciusev Street, Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, and then continuing along the established route;
• The route for Route No. 26 is changed as follows: outbound – from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard onto A. Șciusev Street, București Street, Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, M. Kogălniceanu Street, A. Pușkin Street, and then continuing along the established route; return leg – from Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street onto București Street, A. Șciusev Street, Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, and then continuing along the established route;
• the route of Bus No. 46 is modified as follows: outbound – from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd. onto Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni St., București St., A. Șciusev Street, Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, and then continuing along the established route; return trip—from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard onto Alexei Șciusev Street, București Street, Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, M. Kogălniceanu Street, A. Pușkin Street, Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, and then continuing along the established route.

Drivers passing through neighborhoods where traffic suspensions have been announced are urged to detour around the affected area.
